David Guo emphasizes a player-first approach in game development. Top Games Inc., founded in 2015, has grown significantly with over 100 million players worldwide and many successful mobile games. Guo’s strategy involves using data science to validate opinions and decision-making within the development team, ensuring a high-quality gaming experience. The company’s unique approach includes an “explorations Bootcamp” for new employees to foster creativity and innovation.

Guo is excited about the launch of many new titles and plans to expand the company’s global market share through localized offline promotions in countries like Japan. He also hints at a collaboration with a well-known brand. The company’s goal is to have all their titles in the top 100 top-grossing apps in their specific genres while maintaining a high 4.5-star rating. To achieve this, they plan to recruit more talent, listen to player feedback, and add more content to their games.

PAST EXPERIENCE

David majored in physics at Sun Yat-sen University.  In 1998, David created the famed Skynet firewall, the most popular consumer firewall in China, with tens of millions of internet users protected by it. In 2004, he co-founded one of the world’s largest virtual currency exchange platforms, facilitating millions of transactions and generating hundreds of millions in value.

In the mid-2010s, video games were no longer confined to desktops, and CEO David Guo saw the trend towards mobile gaming. To cater to this growing demand, Top Games introduced a calibrated platform that delivered lifelike images without any lag. This innovation, coupled with the massive success of Evony, propelled Top Games to new heights of popularity and boosted its annual revenue.

He is a gamer 

He is a gamer himself but found that many game companies do not focus on user experience. he decided to devote himself to the gaming industry, Later, David Guo joined Top Games Inc. and is responsible for numerous top-selling titles through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
