Ahmose I, released with the 2025 Heavenly Fire Ceremony, has been designed as an Epic Historic General in Evony: the King’s Return. The Story of General Ahmose I
Amid the fires and ruins of the 16th century BC, a young pharaoh rose to restore Egypt-Ahmose I, founder of the Eighteenth Dynasty and the hero who drove out the Hyksos.
Inheriting the throne in a time of turmoil, Ahmose vowed to finish what his forebears could not. With unshakable resolve and military brilliance, he waged relentless campaigns, expelling the Hyksos from the Delta and uniting Upper and Lower Egypt under one crown.
His victories marked the rebirth of a kingdom. Ahmose reformed the army, restored order, and rebuilt temples, setting the stage for the New Kingdom’s golden age. He revived cities along the Nile, renewed farming and trade, and brought life back to lands scarred by war. From decline, he forged a resurgence, laying the foundation for five centuries of power and prosperity.
To Egypt, Ahmose I was the dawn that scattered darkness, the king who made the Nile gleam with gold once more. His name endures, forever tied to renewal and glory.

Increases ranged troops’ attack and defense by 55% and ranged troops’ HP by 40% when Ahmose I is leading the army.

Now, there is only one way to acquire this general, which is the “Ode to Egypt” event.
During Evony’s 2025 Heavenly Fire Ceremony, you can earn enough “Mystic Gold Dagger” to recruit items from the prize pool. Then, you will have a chance to receive the “Divinity Anthem Historic General Chest“.
Although there is an element of luck involved, Evony has thoughtfully set up a guarantee mechanism. If you don’t get the general chest after opening 199 times, it is guaranteed within the next opening (200).

Based on the above table, we can draw the following conclusions:
As a main general, Ahmose I offers a good boost to archer attack and the best march capacity. However, Artemisia I offers better archer defense and HP gains than him. Besides, the archer attack bonus of Artemisia I is comparable to his. Furthermore, Ahmose I is not easily available, which means ascending him to 5 stars may be difficult. Therefore, if you have a better choice for the main ranged general, you can postpone the idea of using him as the main general.
As an assistant general, Ahmose I still offers excellent archer attack and march capacity gains. While his archer defense bonus isn’t as good as Artemisia I’s, and his archer HP bonus isn’t as good as Gonzalo’s, his overall strength is still quite impressive. It’s difficult for other generals to surpass him in two or more of these areas.
In summary, we suggest that you set him as the assistant general in the first ranged troop tier or use him in the reinforcement tier.
