Evony releases a new duty general, Helena, who is suitable to be a Holy Palace officer. This guide will explain the effects that using this general can bring to your city, and introduce the ways to obtain and upgrade this general. Finally, we will compare the only two Holy Palace officers in Evony and give our orientation recommendations.
General Story of Saint Helena
Helena, Augusta of the Roman Empire, is forever bound to the rise of Christianity. More than a queen and devoted mother, she became a symbol of faith and sacrifice.
Born in 246 BC to humble origins, Helena’s fate changed with her marriage to the future emperor. Guided by a steadfast belief in God and Christ’s teachings, she championed the spread of Christianity across the empire, with the support of her son, Constantine the Great, leaving a legacy that reshaped Roman history.
In 326 AD, she journeyed to Jerusalem and discovered the True Cross, believed to be the very one upon which Christ was crucified. This holy act helped legitimize Christianity in Rome and altered the course of the European faith. She was later canonized as Saint Helena.
But her greatness lay not only in her spiritual devotion. Her compassion and maternal grace earned lasting admiration, making her one of Rome’s most beloved figures. Helena’s story transcends time, a lasting symbol of loyalty, belief, and maternal strength, guiding generations in their pursuit of faith and purpose.

How to Increase Basic Attributes?
-
Increase the general’s EXP to upgrade levels.
Each time a general’s level increases, his or her four attributes (leadership/attack/defense/politics) will increase to a certain extent.
-
Cultivate
You can also use gems or gold to cultivate the general.
However, cultivation will not necessarily increase all four attributes. Some attributes may decrease, so you need to check the results of cultivation carefully. If it is not the result you want, you can cancel this cultivating effect.
-
Enhance (Upgrade Star and Ascend)
Upgrading gold stars and, further, ascending red stars, can improve the general’s four attributes.
This path has the most significant improvement on basic attributes, but the requirements are also higher than the above two. Not only does it require the general to reach a certain level, but it also requires gold, medals, blood of Ares, and general fragments (or ascension fragments).

The Comparison Conclusion Between the Two Generals:
If you are better at offense, it is recommended to use Helena; if you are more focused on defense, consider Trivia Hecate instead.

Debuff to enemy: Helena focuses on enemy ground and mounted troops, which means that when you attack the enemy, she can help you resolve some of the enemy’s defense, because now many people like to use cavalry for defense. On the other hand, Trivia Hecate focuses on enemy ranged troops and siege machines. So when you use this general, she can resolve part of the enemy’s offensive force, because the offensive forces are mainly composed of these two types.
