Frequently Asked Questions

Evony TKR

  • Why do I receive so many friend requests early on?

This is normal. Many veteran players and active alliances proactively add new players for reasons such as:

    • Inviting them to join an alliance
    • Offering help and guidance
    • General interaction

Handle requests carefully, and only accept those from trusted players or members of your alliance.

    Final Tips

    1. Save or screenshot this guide for quick reference when needed.
    2. Prioritize March Size and early research, as these form the foundation of early growth.
    3. Join an active alliance and participate in rallies frequently. Progress is much faster with a group than alone.
    4. Be patient. Evony is a long-term progression game, and building a solid foundation early is more important than rushing.

  • What are Subordinate Cities?

Subordinate Cities are cities that can be occupied. They provide extra attribute bonuses and come with a corresponding general.

    • They usually unlock around Keep Level 10.
    • Quality tiers: Green → Blue → Purple → Gold.
    • Different cultures offer different bonus focuses (e.g., Russia leans toward defense, while Japan leans toward attack).
    • Occupying one grants the associated general and bonuses such as training speed, resource production, and research speed.

In the early game, occupy low-difficulty NPC Subordinate Cities for practice. Later, aim for high-quality Purple and Gold ones.

  • Should I attack other players on my server?

Strong recommendation: Do not actively attack players on your own server.
Evony is fundamentally a server-vs-server (SvS) game. Players on the same server should grow together, focus on monsters and development, and prepare for cross-server wars. Attacking each other weakens your server’s overall strength.
    Exceptions:
    • You may test your power against inactive players who have left their alliance.
    • Large-scale combat should be saved for Server vs. Server (SvS) events.
Joining a NAP (No Attack Policy) server and alliance is highly recommended.
