With the Harvest Festival Celebration coming to Evony in 2024, they released a new Spiritual Beast, Jormungandr. This spiritual beast has both buffs and debuffs, which can be of great help to our PVP. We can get it from the Midgard Serpent on the Valuable Event list during the event.
Purchase the spiritual beast packages or kill monsters to get 800 Spiritual Beast Scales. Then, use these scales to redeem a Midgard Echo on the Midgard Serpent event page. After purchasing the corresponding packages, you can receive spiritual beast scale boxes, each of which randomly includes 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, or 400 scales.
Activate and Level Up Jormungandr
In addition to having the unlocked item, you must also feed Jormungandr to reach 300,000 EXP before it can be activated.
If you don’t smelt, you can feed Jormungandr until Lv10.
To upgrade, you need to use Spiritual Beast EXP. You can get a lot of Spiritual Beast EXP from the Midgard Serpent Event, Spiritual Beast Awakening Package. Besides, you also have the opportunity to gain Spiritual Beast EXP by attacking world bosses, Black Market, Dawn of Civilization, King Solomon’s Treasure (Quest for Treasures event item), etc.
Jormungandr’s Lv10 buffs:
- Ranged Troop Attack +40%
- Attacking Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Defense +40%
- Enemy Siege Machine HP -20%
- When defending, Enemy Ranged Troop Attack -40%
If you want to continue upgrading, you need smelt.
Smelt, which means improving quality.
Evony’s spiritual beasts have a total of 7 quality grades, and their colors are white, green, blue, purple, orange, gold, and red.
Once a spiritual beast reaches Lv10, to continue upgrading, the quality of the spiritual beast must be upgraded to red. Only after it is smelted to red quality can it upgrade to the next levels.
Smelt Spiritual Beast – Jormungandr needs Gems, Crimson Crystal, and Gold. The amount required for each quality is different. See the table below for details.

How to Get Crimson Crystal
You can also use spiritual beast scales to redeem the Crimson Crystal. Every 20 scales can be exchanged for 10 crimson crystals. During each round of the event, you can redeem 200 times.
How to Get Awakening Stone
It can be obtained by purchasing the Spiritual Beast Awakening Package.
Jormungandr’s Max-level buffs
Jormungandr can reach a maximum level of 20. The specific attributes are as follows.

- Attacking Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Defense +104%
- Enemy Siege Machine HP -52%
- When defending, Enemy Ranged Troop Attack -104%
Moreover, Jormungandr has 5 seal attributes and 3 innate skills.
Jormungandr’s Seal Buffs
The Spiritual Beast Seal feature can be unlocked when the spiritual beast reaches Lv10. Each seal has 20 levels of attributes. When the total level of the 5 seals reaches a certain level, you can also unlock the corresponding innate skills. We will explain this in detail when introducing the Innate Skill below.
The seal and its upgrading need to consume the Gem and the Blood Crystal.
You can get blood crystals through monster killing, resource gathering, and package purchasing (Spiritual Beast Seal Package).

Jormungandr’s Innate skills
Each innate skill has 6 levels, represented by red stars. Each time you upgrade a star, you can get a corresponding buff, and the buffs of each star are cumulative. To upgrade innate, you need to reach a certain level of Pasture and total Spiritual Beast Seals. Different innate skills have different requirements for these two conditions. Upgrading the pasture requires resources and has specific requirements for the level of related buildings in the city.
