Evony Civilization Equipment significantly boosts your general’s power and is a crucial component of the growth process. Currently, Evony has many types of Civilization Equipment, each representing a distinct cultural style and possessing different individual and set attributes. Furthermore, through Advanced Refining, additional attributes can be added. This guide details their set attributes, how to do Advanced Refining, and information on refining other equipment.

Refining & Advanced Refining Process

First, “Refine” a piece of Civilization Equipment in Wonder and get 4 golden attributes. Click a piece to enter the attribute display page and you can find the “Refine” button in the lower right corner.

Then, click “Advanced Refining” to refine this piece of Civilization Equipment. And the “Advanced Refining” page will only display equipment that meets the Advanced Refining requirements.
Notes:

You can only do 50 times of Advanced Refining per day per piece of equipment.

According to Evony’s official reply, Advanced Refining can reach up to level 100.

By Advanced Refining, the Civilization Equipment will unlock a new attribute. And this attribute is not affected by changes in other refining attributes. In other words, if you refine a piece of Civilization Equipment after Advanced Refining is unlocked, and its refining attributes are no longer 4 golden attributes, your Advanced Refining effect and unlocking situation will not change.

Other Refining Tips

Refining of non-civilization equipment
Besides Civilization Equipment, other equipment can be buffed through basic “Refining“. It can be performed in the Forge.
You can find the entrance via Forge → Craft → Refine, then find the equipment you want to refine.

Refining rule
Refining will generate 4 random attributes, and each time you refine, these 4 attributes may be randomly changed to other ones. You can choose to maintain the old 4 refined attributes or replace them with the new 4 attributes based on your needs.
If a particular attribute is just what you want, you can lock it in and continue refining the others. Once locked, further refining will cost you gems in addition to refining stones and gold. The more attributes you lock, the more gems you’ll need to refine the remaining attributes.
These attributes do not affect the equipment’s original attributes and the buffs of the star-upgrade.

Additional benefits to refining
Moreover, the “Blessing of Pallas” will bring benefit to your refining.
Purchase the “Wish of Pallas“, and then the blessing will reduce your gems’ consumption for locking attributes by 2000 each time you refine equipment. Each purchase can get 300 blessing opportunities.
“Chant of Pallas” not only offers the same gem cost reduction as Wish of Pallas, but also guarantees a gold-quality attribute after 4 refinements. Note: This blessing must be selected on the equipment refinement page.
The two types of blessing will remain available after the event.
Everyone can claim 3 free refining opportunities with reduced gem consumption per day, which has the same effect as Wish of Pallas.
