Evony’s new epic historic general, Artemisia I, the queen of Caria in the 5th century BC. She is good at leading ranged troops to attack in the game, and can bring the best ranged attack buffs so far. Please read this guide to learn about her, find the way to obtain her, and pair her with other generals to maximize her strength.
The General Story
In the age of epic clashes between Greece and Persia, one queen defied convention and carved her legacy into the tides of war: Artemisia I, ruler of Caria. With extraordinary military prowess and unshakable resolve, she rose as the most renowned female commander of her time.
In the 5th century BC, Artemisia ascended the throne of Caria amid the outbreak of the Greco-Persian Wars. Aligning with Persia, she led her fleet into the famed Battle of Salamis. There, her brilliant tactics allowed her ships to strike with precision, turning the tide in Persia’s favor. Her courage earned the praise of the Persian king, who hailed her as “a commander greater than any man”.
Her genius extended beyond the battlefield. In the face of Persian setbacks, her strategic counsel enabled a clean retreat, denying the Greeks their chance at a crushing victory.
Artemisia’s leadership blazed like a beacon across the Aegean, earning admiration from friends and foes alike. Her name endures as a symbol of fearless wisdom and feminine strength.
