There are 6 titles in Evony’s Senate. Each title has 4 positions, divided according to the troop type. We can get many benefits or debuffs through position appointment and level up, title upgrade, and position promotion, which greatly improve the actual combat ability.

“Assign Title” in Senate
Each title contains 4 types of positions, and only Epic Historic generals who are good at leading the corresponding troops can be appointed. You can not choose other types of generals when you assign titles.
Only those generals who have been enhanced to 5 gold stars or above can be selected when assigned titles. Besides, the higher the ascending level of the general, the more buffs can be obtained after appointment.
You can click on each position to view their buff effects at different star levels.

Position Level Upgrade
After you have appointed a general, you can unlock the corresponding position upgrade function.
You can view the buffs of each position at the current level in the position upgrade interface. The higher the level, the higher the buff value.
In addition, you will get extra buffs when you upgrade to levels 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30. Click on the current buff to view them.
Upgrading the position level requires Merit Jade and Glory Golden Twig. So, what is the specific consumption?

Each title has 7 grades. The higher the grade, the more buffs you can unlock.

In addition, upgrading positions and titles requires the consumption of Merit Jade and Glory Golden Twig, so how can you get them?
How to Get Merit Jade and Glory Golden Twig
- Monster Killing
Defeat high-level common bosses and event bosses, and you will have the probability of getting them.
You can get up to 15 Merit Jades and 6 Glory Golden Twigs from monsters.
- Daily Activity
When daily activity reaches 80 and 110, you will get 5 Merit Jades and 1 Glory Golden Twig respectively.
- Sulis Wishing Pool
After obtaining all the rewards in the Wishing Pool, you can claim the additional reward, the “Sulis Treasure”, which contains 200 Merit Jades and 120 Glory Golden Twigs.
- Packages
You can also receive them from corresponding event packages.
Senate Position Promotion
Governor/Commander/Marshal
Each position in the 3 titles can unlock the corresponding buff when it is promoted to Lv3, Lv6, and Lv9.
Ground & Mounted Position:
- Lv3 – Ground and Mounted Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2%
- Lv6 – Ground and Mounted Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2.4%; Rally Capacity +0.5%
- Lv9 – Ground and Mounted Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2.8%; Rally Capacity +1%
Ranged & Siege Position:
- Lv3 – Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2%
- Lv6 – Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2.4%; Rally Capacity +0.5%
- Lv9 – Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Attack, Defense, and HP +2.8%; Rally Capacity +1%
Leading Senator/Ruling Senator/Honorary Senator
Each position in these 3 titles needs to be promoted to Lv5, Lv7, and Lv9 to unlock the corresponding buff.
The specific content and value of the buffs are the same as the first 3 titles.

The activation requirements for promotion for the last 3 titles (Leading Senator, Ruling Senator, and Honorary Senator) are the same as the activation requirements for position-level upgrading.

How to Get Historic Medal, Radiant Medal, and Blood of Ares?
Historic Medal
Click the ‘Craft Medal’ in the ‘Research Factory’ to forge Historic Medals by consuming Historic General tokens or fragments.
The Historic General tokens or fragments that can be used for forging Historic Medals are as follows:
- Tokens and fragments of the 156 generals in the materials list.
Some of their tokens can forge 6,000 Historic Medals, while others can only forge 30;
As for general fragments, some can only forge 1, while others can forge 200.
- Epic Historic General (Premium)
Each can forge 7200 Historic Medals.
- Epic Historic General Fragment (Premium)
Each can forge 240 Historic Medals.
- Epic Historic General (Glory)
Each can forge 7200 Historic Medals.
Radiant Medal
So far, we can only get this item from the King’s Party Event.
- Party cake reaches Lv6 – 5 Radiant Medals
- Party cake reaches Lv10 – 10 Radiant Medals
Blood of Ares
It is an old item, and it is also a necessary material for ascending generals. There are many ways to obtain Blood of Ares in the game, such as:
- Monsters killing
- Battlefields (SvS, All-Star, Battle of Chalons)
- Shops (Alliance Duel, All-Star, Clash of Civilizations)
- Some packages and special events
